Ravensthorpe Nickel - Civil Works and Cooling Towers

Project Service: Civil works
Client: BHP Billiton
Location: Ravensthorpe, 70 km west of Esperance, Western Australia
Start Date: 2005
Completion Date: 2006

We were commissioned by BHP Billiton to lay the foundations for the Ravensthorpe nickel project.

The total volume of concrete poured on this project was 10,000 cubic metres and involved complex excavation, formwork and concrete works for process acid leach trains 1 and 2, coldwell foundations and various pipe-racks.

As a variation to the contract, we were also awarded the contract to construct the cooling towers for this project.
