Ranger Mine - Pit 3 Expansion


Project Service: Industrial construction and non process infrastructure
Client: Energy Resources of Australia
Location: Jabiru, 230 kms east of Darwin
Start Date: 2008
Completion Date: 2008

The Ranger Mine and associated town of Jabiru are about 230 km east of Darwin in the Northern Territory and are surrounded by the Kakadu National Park.

This project involved the detailed design, supply, installation and commissioning of a new tyre store warehouse, day services building, tray truck repair area, diesel storage tank area with incorporated piping and sewerage treatment plant.

In addition to this new work, Decmil upgraded existing infrastructure including installing a 5-tonne monorail crane, a heavy vehicle wash down facility and a new oil water separator as well as managing the construction and commissioning of the new mine offices to be supplied and installed by AUSCO Building Systems Pty Limited.
