This contract involved establishing construction facilities at Area C for future expansion projects and included the construction of minor earthworks, installation of offices and other construction facilities. Water, power, fire services, mechanical and communications to these facilities were also established as part of the project.
The works were undertaken without incident and we were recognised by BHP Billiton and the Port Developments Joint Venture (MPDJV) for its valuable contribution to safety, environmental and construction performance in the successful installation of all site preparation buildings and services.
