Perth

Perth is Western Australia's capital city and has a population of around two million people. Its Mediterranean climate, lifestyle, pristine beaches andĀ gourmet food and wine has attracted a large immigrant population, with more than 27 per cent of its citizens born overseas.

The city, which is consistently ranked in various polls as one of the world's best cities to live in, offers a great lifestyle and range of services you would expect from any modern and thriving capital.

Perth has experienced record growth in recent times thanks to a resource boom and strong economy which is set to remain strong into the future.

Pilbara (North West Australia)

Often described as Australia's engine room because of its vast natural resources, the Pilbara is a stunning region with scenery thought to be around 2.8 billion years old.

The Pilbara, which includes Karratha, Port Hedland and Newman, is one of the hottest and most remote habitable areas in Australia.

The average annual temperature in Karratha is more than 32 degrees Celsius and during the summer months it often reaches temperatures in excess of 40 degrees.

Port Hedland

A two and a half hour flight from Perth, Port Hedland lies on a natural harbour which handles the largest tonnage of any port in Australia. With a population of around 15,000 the town attracts local anglers and fishing enthusiastic thanks to its thriving sea life. Port Hedland also marks the start of the world-famous Eighty Mile Beach.

Newman

Just under a two hour flight from Perth, Newman is the largest town in the East Pilbara region and has evolved into a modern and laid back centre of mining activity. The area is a popular base for tourists exploring the picturesque Karijini National Park and the Hamersley Gorges.
