Decmil Australia expands and strengthens its key management team
Decmil Australia, a leading Perth-based construction and engineering company has made several key changes to its executive and management teams, adding further strength and depth to its business operations.
Tom Fallon has been appointed as General Manager, and will be responsible for continuing the exceptional growth and development that Decmil has achieved over the last three decades.
Mr Fallon has more than 20 years’ experience in the engineering and construction industry. Most recently, he was National Operations Manager for Leed Engineering, where he was instrumental in more than doubling the annual turnover revenues and maintaining profitability targets. He also helped to create capability within the business to develop opportunities in niche markets.
Craig Rydquist has been appointed Business Development Manager for Decmil, and will be responsible for building and cementing relations with current clients and establishing new business contacts within the resources, construction and public sectors.
Mr Rydquist has a strong track record in the delivery of large complex projects, and has worked at a senior management and operational level for several multinational firms, including Leighton Contracting and Coffey International.
Chris Ashton, who has worked within Decmil as a Project Manager since November 2008, has been promoted to Construction Manager. As Project Manager, Mr Ashton managed Decmil’s activities on Pluto LNG Project, specifically Onshore Site A Civil Works. In his new role, he will now oversee all Decmil’s project work across Western Australia, ensuring the continued deliverance of its customer service focussed operation.
Scott Criddle, Chief Executive Officer of Decmil Australia’s ASX-listed parent company, Decmil Group Limited, said Decmil’s competitive advantage has been its ability to deliver projects “on time and on budget” for its growing list of blue-chip clients. A key factor in this success has been the Group’s ability to maintain active relationships with its clients at all levels of operation.
“As the Company grows, it is necessary to expand our management capacity to continue to achieve this at every level of the company. I am confident these key appointments will help to ensure Decmil has the capacity and capability to deliver sustained growth,” Mr Criddle said.
