Ray Sputore

Ray Sputore became Managing Director of Decmil Australia in May, 2011 bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience invaluable to the support and continued strong growth of the company. Ray also assists Decmil Group Ltd realise its aspirational growth agenda.
Ray is a civil engineer with 37 years experience in Construction. He is a registered builder, a fellow of the Institute of Engineers and holds, or has held, numerous Industry representative roles. Ray is currently on the Board of the Construction Industry Portable Long Service Leave, a Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Chairman of their Construction Infrastructure forum, a member of Main Roads WA Road Construction, Maintenance Industry Group and past President of both the WA and National Master Builders.
Ray believes growing a successful organisation is achieved through the efforts of engaged, talented people working as a team in a value based management structure clearly focussed on its relationships with the people, its stakeholders and customers.
Jenni Campbell

As the Business Systems Manager, Jenni drives the company's integrated business management system ensuring compliance with all accreditations and regulatory requirements.
Jenni oversees the IT, Quality and Planning departments. She manages the auditing program as well as the continuous improvement program. She coordinates all deployment , integration and ongoing training of all software systems in the company including Decmil’s internally developed “Site Diary” and “SSC Management System”.
Jenni worked as the Commercial Manager for Frogmat Environmental Pty Ltd and was the Lead Researcher in resources marketing at Resources & Technology Marketing Services Pty Ltd.
Kym Sturmer

Kym has been the Human Resources Manager at Decmil Australia since 2008 and is responsible for centralising Decmil's recruitment strategies and mobilisation processes as well as employee relations, procedures and policies.
She works closely with the HR team to progress retention and succession strategies as well as developing new programs such as: indigenous engagement in the Pilbara region, a graduate scheme, apprenticeships and traineeships.
Prior to joining Decmil, Kym worked in business and organisational development roles at John Holland Ltd for 10 years.
Craig Rydquist

Craig joined Decmil Australia in March 2010 with more than 13 years’ experience in project and business management.
He is responsible for building and cementing relations with current clients and establishing new business relationships within the resources, construction and public sectors.
Experienced in the delivery of large complex projects from concept and design through to construction and delivery, Craig has worked at a senior management and operational level for several multinational firms.
Prior to joining Decmil, Craig worked for Leighton Contracting as an Alliance Manager and Coffey International as International Business Development Manager. Craig was also Regional Manager for HASSELL Pty Ltd (Architecture, Planning, Landscape, Interiors).
Jeremy Knowles

As the the Corporate HSE Manager at Decmil Australia, Jeremy and his team work across the business to preserve and continuously improve Decmil's AS 4801 and ISO 14001 certified corporate management systems.
This work ensures a strong foundation is maintained which allows the company to build and deliver on its strong HSE commitments and culture.
Jeremy is responsible for Decmil Australia's HSE team and corporate HSE systems.
Previously Jeremy held senior HSE positions within Thiess and Coca Cola Amatil and is currently working towards a Masters Degree in HSE from Curtin University.
Alison Thompson

Alison worked with Decmil Australia’s parent company for two years before taking up her current position as Finance Manager in 2009.
Alison is responsible for ensuring the integrity of Decmil's internal and external financial information, ensuring all statutory obligations are met as well as managing and mentoring the finance team. She is also involved in managing the Group's funding requirements and insurance program.
Alison is a Chartered Accountant with 10 years’ post qualification experience. She has extensive technical experience from her training with PricewaterhouseCoopers and her involvement with the Institute of Chartered Accountants as a CA Program Focus Session Facilitator.
Prior to joining Decmil, Alison has held senior positions in similar companies such as UK based construction firm Balfour Beatty.
Brenton Akehurst

Brenton joined Decmil Australia in January 2011 in the role of General Manager Queensland and is responsible for the oversight of the company’s expansion into Queensland, ensuring Decmil’s high standards of safety and project delivery are maintained.
With more than 15 years experience in the engineering and construction industry, Brenton has been involved in a diverse array of projects.
Prior to joining Decmil, Brenton was a long term employee of York Civil where he was promoted to General Manager in 2007 and was a driving force in the implementation of a major organisation restructure and establishment of a senior management team to grow and develop the business into a leading South Australian company. He was also involved in the successful diversification of the business into the Queensland market.
Brenton holds a Master Degree in Business Administration, specialising in Finance, in addition to a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
Lance van Drunick

Lance joined Decmil Australia in 2008 as Construction Manager and in September 2009 was promoted to Operations Manager.
His primary role at Decmil is the effective and profitable management of Decmil's project delivery. His responsibilities include assembling and managing personnel, instigating operational, functional and management control processes and safety, industrial relations and environmental management.
He also maintains and controls project reporting as well as suggesting innovative and cost effective methods to improve productivity and profitability.
Previously Lance has worked for APP Corporation, The Lark Group and Unitech Construction Management Ltd in senior construction management positions.
Chris Ashton

Chris joined Decmil Australia’s Operations team in 2008 and was promoted to the role of Civil Operations Manager in 2010 with responsibility for the growth and management of the company’s civil business.
Chris draws on experience gained both in contracting and EPCM organisations and has managed civil and multidisciplinary heavy infrastructure projects for blue chip clients in the Australian resources and oil & gas sectors.
Prior to joining Decmil, Chris held management positions within Henry Walker Eltin’s civil business and Fluor Daniel / SKM’s Mine and Port Development joint venture organisation.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Construction).
